The Wintercalville apple has a very ancient genealogy that dates back to the Middle Ages.

It probably had its origin in Northern France more precisely in Normandy.

Its popularity lasted for several centuries, mainly within the noble circles of the time.

This ancient fruit is very sensitive and needs a vigorous, quality and warm soil, finding its ideal habitat in the Renon in South Tyrol.
