Fratelli Pinna company origin
Remilled durum wheat semolina, brewer’s yeast, water, olive oil 18%, salt.
In the Sassarese area, high quality extra virgin olive oil has been produced for more than a hundred years.
Of all the companies present, one cannot fail to pay attention to that of the Fratelli Pinna.
A reference point for Sardinian olive growing since 1940, it is one of the best companies when it comes to Bosana monocultivar evo oil.
The Bosana is the typical cultivar of the area, growing luxuriantly only in the stony, clay soil of the Sardinian countryside in the hills overlooking the crystal clear sea that surrounds this unique island.
The centuries-old olive trees, thanks to the special and irreplicable micro climate, allow the production of high quality extra virgin olive oils.
Among the company’s finest oils are:
- “Denocciolato di bosana” from which the stone is removed before pressing, thus obtaining an extra virgin oil characterised by high refinement and elegance.
- ‘Antichi uliveti del campo’, which over time has won accolades starting with the Gambero Rosso and ending with entry in the slow food guide.
To produce these liquid marvels, the olives once ripe are harvested and taken to the oil mill in just 4 hours, processed according to the most modern and innovative criteria.
All while respecting the environment with advanced farming techniques to preserve the surrounding Sardinian nature.
Over the years, the company has expanded its production with its own vegetable products and in-house processing.
Up to the new brand Eticalimenta, which markets traditional Sardinian products such as Pane Guttiau…..
Over the years, the company has made great strides in trying to completely eliminate carbon emissions.
Olive pits are not discarded but are recycled as biomass to extract valuable energy that is added to that produced by photovoltaic panels.
The two-stage mill is powered by exploiting the vegetable water originally contained in the olives, so that the use of valuable water resources taken from outside can be avoided.
